With Heywoods, what you see is what you get. Straight answers with no messing - just good honest help and advice on all aspects of moving home.

The Heywoods business can trace its roots back to 1881, when it was heavily involved in local cattle markets and other livestock sales. At that time the sale of land, property and livestock were often intrinsically linked and Heywoods forged an enviable reputation which helped sustain its longevity in the area. Over the years the business has developed into what we know today as an estate agency, but we have never forgotten our roots and that’s because our Newcastle office now stands on the site of the former cattle market

Heywoods has a proud history of being a family concern. Although the ownership has changed hands several times, the acquisition in 1991 by father and son, John and Chris Stops, re-established that tradition. They set about reinventing the Company into what we know it as today. 1995 brought about the re-development of the Newcastle site.

Heywoods provides a wide range of services for both the residential and commercial property markets.

Another arm of the Professional Services Division, the Letting's Department, has run successfully since its launch.

The Newcastle office opened in 1995 which heralded a new phase of Heywoods history and we have since focused on differentiating ourselves as the best estate agency in the area by constantly improving and refining our service.

In the intervening years new offices have been opened throughout the region and in 2008 a purpose built administration centre was built at Campbell Road, Stoke-on-Trent to provide a central hub supporting the High Street offices.
